Cylob is an electronic music producer from the UK. Active since 1993, he has released 17 singles and 16 albums since then, on the labels Rephlex, Breakin' Records, Power Vacuum and his own Cylob Industries imprint. Although Cylob's music is predominantly instrumental, ranging from ambient styles to aggressive dance-floor sonics via pop pastiche and electronic funk, his most well known tracks have been the underground hits "Rewind" and "Cut The Midrange, Drop The Bass", which pioneered computer-generated rapping and singing on top of signature Cylob beats. His remix credits include reworkings for Mogwai, Aphex Twin, Soulwax (2 many DJs), Cristian Vogel and Mike Flowers Pops.
"I Will Cross Any Bridge" is a new 14 track studio album marking Cylob's 30th year since his debut release. Developed from works in progress posted on SoundCloud over the last 18 months, the tracks encompass vocoder songs, abstract sonic exploration, acid in unusual time signatures and contemplative ambience in addition to some more straightforward analog jams.
lyrics
Frequently crucial
Enjoy the kitchen and bar
I was elated
Let me know how you are
The next day I started
The phenomenal pain
With the loss of vision in the rain
It depends on the action
Previously described
When I lived on the island
Strap in for the ride
Very much the exception
It was said that he could
But nobody thought that she really would
The fundamental role of chaos
Accepted during my two years
I would be back and there she was
Helping me make sense of the cause
Whatever books that she desired
Took my blanket gave me beers
When I was a child
In the most beautiful way
I returned to the piano
Let us have our say
I heard a rumour
I could no longer ignore
So it remains as ever on the floor
Hallucinations
Invited me in
Regarding my indirection
Secret meanings therein
Discreet compassion
Near the end of the thrill
But I had kept a journal of my skill
The fundamental role of chaos
Accepted during my two years
I would be back and there she was
Helping me make sense of the cause
Whatever books that she desired
Took my blanket gave me beers
(You can't be serious)
There is a stable
Where old friends meet
They said that no-one
Should fill out the spreadsheet
At higher levels
That was my first thought
But no-one could tell me who to support
No-one could tell me who to support
No-one could tell me who to support
No-one could tell me who to support
No-one could tell me who to support
No-one could tell me who to support
No-one could tell me who to support

It will take me a year to repeat enough tracks to make any attempt to select a favorite, and that's not a bad thing. Wonderful diversity of music. adventure_tense
