Cylob is an electronic music producer from the UK. Active since 1993, he has released 17 singles and 16 albums since then, on the labels Rephlex, Breakin' Records, Power Vacuum and his own Cylob Industries imprint. Although Cylob's music is predominantly instrumental, ranging from ambient styles to aggressive dance-floor sonics via pop pastiche and electronic funk, his most well known tracks have been the underground hits "Rewind" and "Cut The Midrange, Drop The Bass", which pioneered computer-generated rapping and singing on top of signature Cylob beats. His remix credits include reworkings for Mogwai, Aphex Twin, Soulwax (2 many DJs), Cristian Vogel and Mike Flowers Pops.
"I Will Cross Any Bridge" is a new 14 track studio album marking Cylob's 30th year since his debut release. Developed from works in progress posted on SoundCloud over the last 18 months, the tracks encompass vocoder songs, abstract sonic exploration, acid in unusual time signatures and contemplative ambience in addition to some more straightforward analog jams.
lyrics
We must all share in the godsend
Maybe I should have done it in reverse
But I had the illusion that you would come around
Remember I'm your old friend
This is your captain speaking now
I think I'm going to tell you what I found
Even though you would be willing
To make the audience laugh
The other student's original splendour
Trusted her with the frosted glass shoe
Now I can see
If only I could have your autograph
Nothing's going to stop, don't worry
Colliding into you
This is the second time
You're not going to be disturbed
I gave you all the money
Step away from the kerb
This is the second time
You're not going to be disturbed
I gave you all the money
Step away from the kerb
According to your theory
That everyone admired
Remember my motto
I'll be warning you that this is all your fault
I'll give you ten minutes
To keep me uninspired
Returned from the heavens
I'm sure you don't need the time to call a halt
They must not escape us
Lying in his chair
He contradicts my belief
That's got to be the reason for his acoustic guitar
Strange reflections
When I was younger it was everywhere
A small cloud overhead
Prefers the solitude exactly where we are
This is the second time
You're not going to be disturbed
I gave you all the money
Step away from the kerb
This is the second time
You're not going to be disturbed
I gave you all the money
Step away from the kerb
This is the second time
You're not going to be disturbed
I gave you all the money
Step away from the kerb

It will take me a year to repeat enough tracks to make any attempt to select a favorite, and that's not a bad thing. Wonderful diversity of music. adventure_tense
